Living in one of the world's largest metropolis made me realize how obsessed one can become with heights. This in my opinion is because, as big cities are filled with buildings, having a panoramic view of something is a luxury. The possibility of seeing things from a height - by being in a plane, by living on the top floor of a building, by dining in a rooftop terrace - becomes a sign of wealth and can easily becomes one's obsession.
