Performativity Of The Contemporary Feminine.

I am currently studying the concept of femininity in my work and the idea that anyone becomes feminine purely by the choice of performing in the ways that femininity has been set up to act and look like. With this film I explore the concepts of performativity and essentialism and how these connect with the previously said. Through the use of animations and special effects which are laid out in an experimental manner across the screen, it questions what being feminine and performing femininity means and looks like in 2016.
